Team Leader

ALH is recruiting on behalf of one of Taranaki's leading boutique event hire businesses for an experienced Team Leader to join their close-knit team.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, thrives in a hands-on environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional events. From weddings and corporate functions to large-scale community events, no two days are the same.
 
About the Role
As the Team Leader, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the crew, ensuring equipment is prepared, transported and installed safely and efficiently. You'll be responsible for organising work, working together and supporting the team on-site, and maintaining high standards of customer service and presentation.
 
This is a physical, practical role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
 
What We're Looking For  

• Has previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Is physically fit and enjoys hands-on work.
• Has excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Is a practical problem solver with a positive attitude.
• Has strong communication and people skills.
• Is reliable, resilient and takes ownership of their work.
• Can confidently use tools and equipment.
• Holds a Class 2 licence (preferred but training can be provided)
• Experience within the events, marquee hire, construction, logistics or equipment hire industries will be highly regarded.

• Two satisfactory reference checks.
• Ministry of Justice check.
• Pre-employment drug test.
• Driver's licence check.
