About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Team Leader to join our Workforce Australia team. In this role, you will lead, support and develop a team of Job Mentors to deliver high-quality employment services and achieve positive employment outcomes for participants.

You will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and guidance to ensure your team meets performance targets while providing a participant-focused, cultural respectful and supportive service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate a team of Job Mentors to achieve individual and team KPIs.
• Monitor team performance, caseloads, appointments, participation and employment outcomes.
• Support staff to provide high-quality and personalised services to Workforce Australia participants.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback and performance support to team members.
• Ensure staff understand and comply with Workforce Australia requirements, policies and procedures.
• Monitor documentation, compliance and data quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve team performance and service delivery.
• Support Job Mentors with complex participant situations and provide guidance where required.
• Build strong relationships with employers, community organisations and other stakeholders.
• Encourage effective employer engagement and job placement opportunities for participants.
• Conduct team meetings, case reviews and performance discussions.
• Identify staff training and development needs and support ongoing professional development.

Desired skills and experience

• Experience leading or supervising a team, preferably within Employment Services.
• Strong knowledge of Workforce Australia requirements and employment services practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to coach, motivate and develop employees.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Experience working towards KPIs and performance targets.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of compliance requirements.
• The ability to manage challenging situations and support staff with complex matters.
• A commitment to providing respectful, inclusive and participant-focused services.
• The ability to build positive relationships with employers, participants and stakeholders.
• Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
• Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check and/or Vulnerable Persons Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
