What they need
- Full-time, Permanent, Work From Home
- NSW
- Occupational Therapy
We’re a national allied health team of 130+ people, built around a remote, community-based model.
Our clinicians see clients in their homes, schools and communities, manage the rest of their work from home and stay connected through Teams — with coffee catch-ups, team dinners and the occasional breakfast along the way.
Across Greater Sydney, we now have around 20 clinicians across Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology and Behaviour Support. Our local OT team currently sits at three, and we’re looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to help us keep building the kind of team good clinicians want to be part of — and clients genuinely want to work with.
What flexibility looks like here
For us, flexibility means giving good people room to structure their work sensibly.
That might mean clustering community appointments across particular days, working from home around reports and supervision, doing school drop-off, finishing earlier some days or moving things around when life happens.
And yes, sometimes it means putting a load of washing on between reports. We’re not pretending that doesn’t happen.
As a Team Leader, you’ll still have that flexibility — but you’ll also be someone your team can rely on when they need support.
There are KPIs and expectations, but we don’t believe good people need to be micromanaged. Autonomy comes with accountability. Manage your week well, communicate clearly and do what you say you’ll do. Pretty simple, really.
The role
You’ll initially support a small OT team with the potential to support additional clinicians interstate.
You’ll maintain a reduced clinical caseload, because if we’re asking you to lead people, we need to give you time to actually do it.
You’ll:
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and day-to-day support to Occupational Therapists
- Support complex clinical decision-making, case formulation and quality
- Help clinicians manage caseloads, capacity, KPIs and competing priorities
- Support onboarding, capability development and retention
- Build connection and engagement across a remote team
- Work closely with our National Manager – Occupational Therapy on team development and service improvement
- Maintain a reduced NDIS caseload, working with participants with a range of presentations, including complex physical and mental health needs
- Complete functional and standardised assessments, therapy planning and NDIS reports, with opportunities to upskill in areas that interest you
- Work alongside families, support coordinators and other stakeholders to translate recommendations into practical outcomes
We’re looking for the kind of person people trust and enjoy working with — someone who gives people room to do their job but doesn’t mysteriously vanish the second things get complicated.
You don’t necessarily need to already have Team Leader on your CV. We’re more interested in whether you’re already the clinician people naturally turn to when they need advice, guidance or a second opinion.
How we support you
- Technology and AI to improve travel management, better match clients with clinicians and give clinicians and leaders greater visibility over caseloads, capacity and workload
- A reduced clinical KPI so leadership isn’t something you’re expected to squeeze into the cracks
- Competitive remuneration that reflects your experience and leadership responsibilities
- $1,000 PD allowance in your first year, increasing by $500 each year, plus PD leave
- Regular supervision tailored to your development as a clinician and ongoing participation in our Leadership Excellence program
- Monthly MDT workshops, lunch-and-learns and discipline-specific PD
- A gradual KPI build-up across your first month
- $70/hour for billable hours above your monthly clinical target
- Accessible leadership — self-book time directly into National Managers diary when you need advice, a second opinion or space to talk something through
- Laptop, mobile phone and kilometre reimbursement
What you’ll need
- Occupational Therapy qualification and full AHPRA registration
- Strong NDIS experience
- Experience supervising, mentoring, coaching or supporting other clinicians
- Confidence having constructive conversations around performance, clinical quality and development
- The ability to create connection and engagement in a remote environment
- A suitable home-based working environment
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC
- Full driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Remote really does mean remote
There’s no clinic and no office.
You’ll work from home, see clients locally in the community and have the autonomy to structure your week sensibly.
But remote doesn’t mean disconnected. Our teams stay highly engaged online, our managers are accessible and we make a point of getting together in person too.
Interested but not actively looking? That’s completely fine.
You don’t have to hate your current job to have a conversation about another one.
