Team Leader

About the role

As an HVAC Hygiene Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and participating in the cleaning, inspection, and remediation of HVAC systems while leading a team of technicians on-site. You will coordinate daily activities, ensure work is completed efficiently and safely, and maintain strong communication with both clients and management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HVAC hygiene technicians on commercial and industrial projects
• Plan and coordinate daily site activities to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
• Conduct HVAC system cleaning, remediation, and restoration works
• Perform HVAC hygiene inspections and completion of reporting and documentation
• Operate specialised HVAC hygiene and cleaning equipment
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company procedures, and site-specific requirements
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety inspections
• Mentor and train team members to maintain quality and productivity standards
• Liaise with clients, site representatives, and project managers as required
• Complete job reports, safety documentation, and project records

About you

• Demonstrated experience in HVAC hygiene, duct cleaning, HVAC maintenance, or a related building services industry
• Previous experience leading teams or supervising field personnel
• Construction White Card – essential
• Current driver's licence – essential
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Working at Heights, and Confined Space certifications essential
• Ability to read and interpret scopes of work and site requirements
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Reliable, organised, and self-motivated
• IICRC accreditation and/or HVAC industry qualifications highly regarded
