Team Leader - Production

About the role

Hellers Australia is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Production team in Jandakot. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for leading production employees, achieving daily production targets, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and creating a safe and productive work environment. Reporting to the Production Area Manager, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to production teams across a range of manufacturing areas as operationally required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production employees to achieve daily production schedules
• Allocate labour and resources across production operations
• Monitor productivity, quality, waste and operational performance
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and GMP requirements
• Promote a strong safety culture and safe work practices
• Support employee training, coaching and development
• Escalate operational issues and downtime promptly
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

About you

• Experience in a manufacturing, food processing or production environment
• Previous experience leading or supervising teams
• Strong communication and people leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to workplace safety, food safety and quality standards
• Desirable: Food manufacturing experience
• Desirable: HACCP knowledge or training
• Desirable: Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience
• Desirable: First Aid qualification or Forklift Licence
