What they need

Lead a Team. Change Lives. Build a Career That Matters.

Are you a natural leader with a passion for disability support?

Sapphire Support is looking for a dedicated Team Leader to guide our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) house — helping participants live the life they choose, with dignity, choice, and genuine independence at the centre of everything we do.

This is more than a leadership role. It's a chance to shape a team culture, mentor incredible support workers, and directly influence the everyday outcomes of the people we support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and supervising a rostered support team within a 24/7 SIL/SDA home
  • Championing NDIS Practice Standards and embedding quality, safety, and compliance into daily practice
  • Managing the operational rhythm of the house — rosters, documentation, incident management, and continuous improvement
  • Modelling person-centred practice and empowering your team to do the same
  • Being the go-to point of contact for participants, families, and your team

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience as a Team Leader/ House Leader within disability, ideally in SIL/SDA
  • Experience with behaviour support, manual handling, mobility support, and hoisting
  • Experience providing personal care
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
  • Ability to create a calm and homely environment for participants and staff alike
  • Commitment to dignity, choice, and inclusion in every interaction

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged, Disability Care, Individual Support or similar, or Nursing Qualifications or equivalent qualifications
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certificates (HLTAID009/0011)
  • Current Driver’s License and Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • WWCC (Blue Card) – preferred but not essential
  • Manual Handling Certificate (HLTWHS005)
  • Assist Clients with Medication Cert (HLTHPS006)

Why Sapphire Support?

Grow With Us

  • Leadership development and ongoing professional learning
  • Coaching and support from experienced operational leaders
  • Practice-based and clinical training to build your expertise

Make a Real Impact

  • Lead a team dedicated to meaningful participant outcomes
  • Shape a positive, supportive house culture
  • Be part of a growing, values-led NDIS provider on the Sunshine Coast

Your Wellbeing Matters

  • Supportive, down-to-earth team environment
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated Client Services Officer
  • Genuine recognition as part of the management team
  • Regular ongoing hours of work for work/life balance

You'll Belong Here

At Sapphire Support, we exist to help people with disability live independent lives, on their own terms. As a Sunshine Coast–based, NDIS-registered provider, we're guided by dignity, inclusion, choice, collaboration, and meaningful outcomes — and we're looking for a leader who shares that same drive.

Apply now and lead a team that's changing lives, one day at a time.
