Team Leader- Telco

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of telco projects (Huawei), ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Manage technical resources and coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimise project workflows and delivery
• Monitor team performance metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies across all telecommunications operations
• Liaise with senior management and clients to communicate project status, risks, and outcomes
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide expert guidance on electrical and electronic systems within telecommunications infrastructure
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of team activities, project outcomes, and technical specifications

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical or electronic engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Proven expertise in telecommunications infrastructure, fibre optic systems, or related telco technologies
• Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in telecommunications engineering
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
• Technical competency in network design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Willingness to mentor and develop junior engineering staff
• Preferred: Experience with project management software and technical documentation systems
