Join Marton Care Homes – Make A Difference, Every Day
Marton Care Homes is a family-run care group, built on a foundation of compassion, respect, and a deep commitment to personalised care. Our vision is simple: to create homes where people are treated as individuals, supported with dignity, and empowered to live their best possible lives.
At Hillview Care Home, these values are at the heart of everything we do. We're currently looking for a caring and motivated Team Leader to join our friendly team and help us continue delivering outstanding care to our residents.
This role offers a consistent 4:00pm - 8:00pm shift pattern, four days per week, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to balance work with other commitments. It may particularly suit those with school-age children, individuals returning to work, or anyone seeking meaningful employment during evening hours while maintaining flexibility throughout the day.
We believe life should be full of joy and purpose. As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in supporting residents, mentoring colleagues, and helping to create a warm, welcoming environment where people feel valued, respected, and cared for every day.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:
- Ensuring the highest possible standards of care are maintained by supporting and assisting residents with all aspects of daily living where required.
- Supporting the training and supervision of new and junior team members, under the guidance of senior management.
- Assisting residents with their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care needs while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Supporting residents with limited mobility or physical and learning disabilities, making the best use of equipment and aids provided.
- Closely monitoring residents who may experience confusion or behavioural challenges and responding appropriately.
- Assisting in the promotion of continence care.
- Supporting residents living with progressive illnesses and providing compassionate end-of-life care where required.
- Completing and reviewing care plans, daily records, and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Encouraging participation in hobbies, interests, and social activities that enhance wellbeing and quality of life.
- Responding to the nurse call system and assisting with telephone and visitor enquiries in a professional manner.
- Reporting on residents' wellbeing and liaising with healthcare professionals, relatives, and management teams as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
- Warm, approachable, and committed to delivering compassionate care.
- Organised, reliable, and confident in leading and supporting a team.
- Positive, proactive, and able to motivate others.
- Passionate about improving the lives of older people.
- Able to work the evening shift pattern of 4:00pm - 8:00pm, four days per week, including alternate weekends.
- Experienced in a similar care role.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards it.
What We Offer
Working at Marton Care Homes means being part of something special. You'll enjoy:
- A friendly, supportive, and welcoming workplace.
- Consistent evening shifts that can fit around family and daytime commitments.
- Real opportunities for ongoing training and career progression.
- The chance to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day.
- A valued role within a close-knit team that cares as much about each other as we do our residents.
If you believe that respect, dignity, and compassion should be at the heart of care, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help us make a real difference to the lives of residents at Hillview Care Home.
