Role summary

Stemit is building out its wind energy bench in support of an active proposal for an ADB-financed, utility-scale wind power project in Sri Lanka - the Kondachchi Wind Power Project, a circa 150MW development in the Mannar region, integrated with battery energy storage. We are looking for a Team Leader to lead the consulting team, hold overall responsibility for the quality, coherence, and timeliness of project deliverables, and serve as the primary technical and diplomatic interface with the client and regulatory counterparts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the multi-disciplinary consulting team across all technical and advisory work streams for the project
• Hold overall responsibility for the quality, coherence, and timeliness of all project deliverables
• Serve as the primary technical and diplomatic interface with the client (Sri Lanka's National System Operator) and relevant regulatory counterparts
• Prepare and maintain a phased implementation roadmap for the project
• Coordinate inputs from wind resource, grid integration, transmission, environmental/social, and other specialists into coherent, integrated deliverables
• Represent the consulting team in client meetings, workshops, and regulatory engagements
• Manage overall project planning, risk management, and reporting to ADB and the client

Required qualifications

Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in engineering, energy, or a closely related field. A minimum of 10 years of international experience in wind or renewable energy project leadership roles. Prior experience on multilateral development bank-financed projects (ADB, World Bank, or similar) is a strong plus.
