Since opening our first restaurant in Iowa City back in 1992, we’ve stuck with what works best for us and our employees. Which means keeping things fun and simple while exceeding expectations. Providing plenty of opportunities for you to grow, learn, and lead. We’ll teach you authentic cooking techniques, how to deliver a great guest experience, the value of teamwork, and how to run a successful million-dollar business. Team LeaderS

As a Team Leader at Pancheros, you’re really cookin’ in every sense of the word. With your mastery of both front-of-house and kitchen operations, you’ll be supervising the entire team throughout a shift. While you’ll continue to perfect your practical skills, you’ll also start developing your leadership skills as you help individual Crew Members learn from your experience. You’ll be setting the pace for the shift and motivating the team with positive encouragement while still contributing directly with your own two hands—running the shift and owning the results. Demonstrating your ability to not only do, but to lead, will qualify you for your next stage of professional growth into management. Being a Team Leader at Pancheros is an incredibly rewarding opportunity whereby you’ll continue to learn while enjoying the pride and satisfaction of getting to help others learn and grow as well. Cooking from scratch every day, you’ll learn all aspects of food preparation, from cutting and dicing to working the grill, making queso, and perfecting the art of fresh-pressing and grilling every tortilla to order. All while enjoying the camaraderie and pride of serving what you’ve made as a team together. You’ll also learn the front-of-house skills of hospitality and guest service that create a welcoming and fun environment, along with the practical aspects of running the cash register. Mastery of all these skills and your ability to share what you’ve learned with your teammates can also open the door for professional growth with Pancheros. Being a Team Leader at Pancheros is so much more than just earning a paycheck. It’s the opportunity to have fun, learn, and grow while serving food that you can be proud of.
