Team Manager

About the role

This role is responsible for supporting and coordinating the offshore team and fostering a collaborative, engaged and high-performing team. The Team Manager will act as a key link between offshore employees, onshore Team Leaders and senior management, helping to strengthen communication, consistency and collaboration across the teams. The role will support the continued growth of the offshore function by building capability, monitoring operational performance, identifying issues and driving practical improvements. The Team Manager will also be hands-on and is expected to actively contribute to work from the operational pipeline when required to support the team and maintain service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day coordination and performance of the offshore operations function.
• Act as a key link between offshore employees, onshore Team Leaders and senior management.
• Monitor workflow, productivity, quality and service levels and identify issues requiring attention.
• Work with Team Leaders to address workload, resourcing and operational challenges.
• Actively contribute to operational work from the pipeline when required, particularly during periods of increased workload or resourcing constraints.
• Promote consistent processes, standards and ways of working across offshore teams.
• Foster a collaborative, engaged and high-performing team culture.
• Support Team Leaders in developing capability, performance and accountability within their offshore teams.
• Identify training and development needs and encourage knowledge sharing across teams.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new offshore employees.

About you

• Proven experience in an operations leadership or management role, preferably within the financial services, property, or legal industries.
• Knowledge or experience in Australian mortgage settlement transactions is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, finance or a related discipline is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant business systems.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Strong strategic thinking, planning, and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Resilient, adaptable, and solutions-focused with strong attention to detail.
