What they need

Habit Health is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead our Corporate Services team across the Wellington region. This role is responsible for supporting a multidisciplinary team delivering a range of services to businesses, including Occupational Health Nursing, Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), workplace wellbeing initiatives, health monitoring, injury prevention, and other employer-focused health solutions.

You'll play a key role in ensuring excellent service delivery, strong customer relationships, operational performance, and positive outcomes for both our corporate clients and the people they employ.

The ideal candidate will be a confident leader who can engage and motivate diverse teams, build strong relationships with business customers, and drive high-quality service delivery across the region.

The Team Manager will work with clinical and non-clinical teams across Wellington, so they must be willing to travel within the region. This is a leadership role with no clinical caseload. While candidates with a clinical background are preferred, we are also interested in hearing from experienced leaders who have worked in occupational health, wellbeing, EAP, health service delivery, or corporate health environments.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Regional Manager to ensure the team meets and exceeds operational and financial targets
  • Lead and support multidisciplinary teams delivering occupational health, wellbeing, EAP, and corporate health services
  • Monitor team performance and ensure service delivery KPIs are achieved
  • Ensure appropriate workforce planning and resource allocation to meet client demand
  • Support diary management, utilisation, and productivity across the team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and create additional value for business customers
  • Promote Habit Health as the trusted provider of workplace health, wellbeing, and occupational health solutions
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, auditing requirements, and service excellence standards
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous leadership experience within occupational health, employee wellbeing, EAP, healthcare, allied health, or corporate health services
  • A clinical qualification (Occupational Health Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Counsellor, or similar) would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills
  • Experience managing service delivery and achieving operational KPIs
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities
  • A collaborative and approachable leadership style

The benefits of working with us:

  • Market-competitive salary to ensure our people feel valued
  • Annual budget set aside for professional development and study
  • Use of company car for business needs
  • Opportunities to further develop your leadership capability
  • Permanent full-time role with clear career progression pathways
  • Great team culture with regular social events, recognition programmes, and weekly treats
  • Wellbeing initiatives including annual eye examinations, flu vaccinations, and access to EAP services
