Team Manager, Experience Design

For our client, we are seeking a Team Manager, Experience Design to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space.

This role will guide a UX design team responsible for shaping experiences across complex digital products and platform capabilities. You will set design direction, strengthen quality standards, and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent, scalable user experiences. The position also calls for balancing multiple workstreams, removing ambiguity, and helping teams move forward with confidence.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $175,000 – $195,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of UX designers through coaching and feedback
• Define design strategy and quality standards for integrations and access management
• Own UX delivery, ensuring quality and consistency across the platform
• Prioritize and sequence work amid conflicting team priorities
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams on roadmaps
• Run design planning and review sessions to maintain project momentum
• Unblock teams by resolving ambiguities and navigating technical trade-offs

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of professional UX design experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Direct experience with identity and access management or admin settings consoles
• Service design experience, particularly in mapping multi-actor journeys
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools
• Strong foundation in end-to-end UX design across complex products
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities across multiple workstreams
• Collaborative leadership that builds trust across teams
