What they need

My Place provides accommodation and support to young people aged 16 and over who are Looked After by the Local Authority. We work with young people in partnership with other agencies, to support them to make a successful transition into independent adulthood. The service is registered under ‘The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023’.

The young people that My Place works with have had a range of difficulties. We currently specialise in supporting unaccompanied minors who are new to the country. These young people have been through traumatic experiences and journeys to the

UK.

The Team Manager will provide effective day-to-day leadership and management to a team of Support Workers within a supported accommodation service for young people.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that the team provides safe, consistent, high-quality and young-person-centred support. The role will involve overseeing the quality of support being provided, undertaking regular case and support-plan reviews, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the views, wishes and experiences of young people are central to service delivery.

This is not a case-holding role. The Team Manager will not hold a caseload or have primary case-management responsibility for individual young people. Instead, they will provide management oversight and supervision of the work undertaken by the support team and ensure that appropriate actions are identified, followed up, and escalated where required.

This full-time role allows employees to work both remotely, and in the office, to suit your work/home balance, needs and lifestyle.
