| Reports to | Events & Promotions team
| Location | Dallas, TX — Cotton Bowl and community locations across DFW

About the role

Dallas Trinity FC is looking for an experienced mascot performer to bring Boots, our club mascot, to life. Boots is the face of the club for kids and families, and the energy in the stands on match day.

You'll perform at home matches, school visits, community events, and sponsor appearances. This is a great fit for a performer who loves crowds, reads a room fast, and can make a kid's day without saying a word.

What you'll do

Home matches

• Perform as Boots before, during, and after Dallas Trinity FC home matches

• Hype the crowd, lead cheers, and join pre-game and halftime moments

• Greet fans, pose for photos, and connect with kids in the stands and concourse

• Work with the game-day crew on timing, walkways, and on-field cues

Community events and school visits

• Visit schools, youth clinics, libraries, and community festivals
• Keep the energy high and family-friendly for young audiences

Sponsor and partner appearances

• Appear at partner storefronts, activations, and promotional events
• Represent the club professionally in front of sponsors and their customers

Every appearance

• Stay fully in character — Boots never speaks or removes the head in public
• Follow the club's mascot guidelines on behavior, safety, and brand
• Help care for the costume: check, clean, and report any damage
• Show up on time and work with a handler or escort when assigned

What we're looking for

• At least 1 year of costumed mascot performance (pro or college sports, theme parks, or entertainment)
• Strong non-verbal skills: big gestures, physical comedy, and character work
• Comfortable with large crowds and with small kids up close
• Reliable, on time, and professional with staff, fans, and sponsors
• Available most weekend evenings plus some weekday daytime events
• 18 or older and able to pass a background check (required for school and youth events)
• Reliable transportation to venues across Dallas–Fort Worth

Nice to have

• Experience with soccer or women's sports fans
• Dance, gymnastics, improv, or theater background
• Spanish-speaking (helpful for working with handlers and families at events)
• Ideas for signature Boots routines, skits, or social video moments

Physical requirements

• Perform in a full-body costume for 45–60 minute sets, with breaks
• Work outdoors in Texas heat, cold, and rain
• Stand, walk, dance, and jump for long periods
• Fit the Boots costume (approximately 5’7 to 5’9)

Schedule and pay

Pay is $50-$75 per hour (commensurate with experience). Most appearances are 2–4 hours including arrival, costume time, and breaks.

• Home matches: through December 2026, with the 2027 season starting in March
• Community, school, and sponsor events: scheduled as booked, with advance notice
• Immediate start preferred
• Must have availability 10/16/26 & 10/17/26

Please submit a brief video showcasing why you would LOVE to be Boots!
