About the role

We are seeking a Team Member to join our Tairua store in Coromandel on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be a key part of our retail team, delivering excellent customer service and supporting the smooth operation of the store. You will work flexibly across various departments and tasks, ensuring our store is well-maintained, stocked, and welcoming for all customers. This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking for part-time work in a dynamic retail environment. This role has a fixed Saturday workday.

Key responsibilities

• Providing friendly and helpful customer service across the store, assisting customers with product information and recommendations
• Processing sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
• Stocking shelves and displays with products, ensuring they are well-organised and clearly labelled
• Maintaining store cleanliness and tidiness throughout the day, including floors, shelves, and customer areas
• Receiving and unpacking stock deliveries, checking items for damage and accuracy
• Operating the till and handling cash and card payments responsibly
• Supporting colleagues across different departments to ensure smooth store operations
• Following health and safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Reporting any stock issues or maintenance concerns to the store manager

What we're looking for

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required for part-time work
• Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and handle stock safely
• Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and stock counts
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Previous retail experience is advantageous but not essential; we are willing to train the right candidate
• A genuine interest in helping customers and contributing to a positive store environment
