What they need
Manchester | Team Member | Full-time
You are the person on shift who always notices what needs doing next without having to be asked. Whether it's restocking a display, helping a colleague clear a backlog, or answering a customer's question with a calm and helpful attitude, you take pride in pulling your weight and keeping the day running smoothly.
If you are looking for a reliable, practical role in Manchester where consistent effort, teamwork, and strong personal standards are recognized, this full-time position is a great fit. We are expanding our Manchester team and are looking for a dependable Team Member to support our daily operations across customer engagement, floor presentation, and shift handovers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a key part of our ground crew, you will handle a varied range of daily tasks to maintain our high service standards. Your duties will include:
- Assisting visitors and customers on the floor with straightforward enquiries and product directions.
- Helping prepare work areas, counters, and displays before opening hours each day.
- Receiving stock shipments, checking items against delivery manifests, and organizing backroom storage.
- Operating payment terminals and check-in desks accurately during busy trading periods.
- Keeping customer spaces, walkways, and team areas clean, safe, and well-maintained throughout your shift.
- Working closely with floor supervisors to complete daily task logs and shift checklists.
- Reporting stock shortages or equipment issues promptly to senior team leads.
- Supporting colleagues across different stations during peak hours to keep wait times low.
What We Look For
We value dependability, a strong work ethic, and a positive team attitude far more than a long list of previous job titles. We look for:
- High personal standards of punctuality, attendance, and shift reliability.
- Polite, clear communication skills when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Comfort working active, floor-based shifts and keeping up a steady work pace.
- A practical, helpful mindset and a willingness to muck in wherever needed on site.
- Ability to follow straightforward health, safety, and operational guidelines consistently.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer support, warehousing, or university team activities is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.
Shift Guidance & Practical Development
We ensure you get proper, structured support so you feel fully confident across every part of your role.
Your onboarding will involve pairing up with an experienced colleague to walk through our shift checklists, floor routines, and customer service standards step-by-step. Through regular check-ins with your shift manager, you will receive constructive feedback and support on building your operational skills. As you master daily routines, you will have opportunities to take ownership of specific shift duties, mentor new starters, or step into shift-lead responsibilities.
Package & Perks
- Competitive base pay
- Performance-based bonuses linked to team and shift targets
- Full initial training across all shift duties and safety protocols
- Regular one-to-one coaching and ongoing feedback
- Hands-on practical experience across customer service and operational workflows
- Team social activities and group incentives
