What they need
Location: London
Role: Team Member (Full-time)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
You are the sort of person who naturally keeps an eye on what needs doing next across a room. Whether it's helping a customer find their way, keeping work areas tidy during a busy period, or stepping in to help a colleague clear a sudden queue, you take satisfaction in doing a job thoroughly and keeping shift operations moving smoothly.
If you are looking for a reliable, active role in London where consistent effort, good communication, and personal dependability are genuinely valued, this full-time position will suit you well. We are strengthening our London operational team and are looking for a practical Team Member to assist across customer engagement, floor organization, and daily shift tasks.
Shift Expectations & Duties
As part of our central floor team, you will support the day-to-day running of our operations. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming visitors and assisting customers with straightforward floor enquiries.
- Preparing work areas, registration points, and displays ahead of opening hours.
- Operating check-in terminals and payment points accurately during peak footfall.
- Receiving stock shipments, checking manifests, and organizing backroom storage bays.
- Keeping customer walkways, display tables, and staff spaces safe, clean, and organized.
- Working through daily operational checklists alongside floor supervisors.
- Reporting stock shortages or maintenance issues promptly to senior team leads.
- Supporting team members across different stations during peak hours to keep wait times low.
What We Look For
We place far more value on strong personal standards, punctuality, and a helpful attitude than on a long list of specific job titles. We look for:
- Clear, polite spoken English and a welcoming manner with the public.
- High personal standards of attendance, punctuality, and shift reliability.
- Comfort working active, floor-based shifts and keeping up a steady work pace.
- A practical, supportive attitude toward working as part of a team on site.
- Good attention to detail when following health, safety, and floor procedures.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, administration, or university society roles is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.
Practical Onboarding & Skills Coaching
We make sure you get structured guidance so you feel confident across every part of your shift routines.
Your induction involves working alongside an experienced team member, stepping through our operational workflows, customer standards, and safety procedures. Through regular check-ins with your shift coordinator, you will receive constructive feedback to build your skills and efficiency. As you master daily shift routines, you will have opportunities to take ownership of specific floor zones, assist with staff handovers, and progress toward shift supervisor responsibilities.
Position Benefits
- Competitive base salary
- Enhanced pay rates for weekend shifts
- Performance-based bonuses linked to team and shift targets
- Full initial training across all floor duties and safety protocols
- Regular one-to-one coaching and continuous skill development
- Practical experience across customer service and operational workflows
- Team social events and floor incentives
- Formal recognition for high work standards and shift reliability
- Clear pathways to take on broader shift leadership duties
