What they need
Bring Heroes to Life
Ninja Kidz Action Parks is the UK home of Ninja Kidz TV, one of the biggest kids' YouTube channels on the planet. Our Edinburgh park is where thousands of families come every month to slide, flip, bounce, play and have the best day of their week. Flight Crew are the people who make that happen.
Who we're looking for
You're the person who likes to make sure people are having a good time. You notice the shy kid hanging back and get them going down the slide. You see a seven-year-old land their first flip and you make sure their mum saw it too. You notice the parents walking around and recommend the best spot to stand and record their kids. You remember names. You high five. You'd rather be on your feet with people than behind a screen.
You don't need park experience. You need energy, warmth and a real liking for people, especially small, loud ones. We'll teach you the rest!
What you'll do
Flight Crew rotate across the whole park, so you'll learn all of it. Here's what each part of the job actually looks like.
Every shift, whatever you're doing
- Give our Guests 100% of your attention so they have a great time and a safe time
- Look out for your teammates. If someone needs a hand, lend one
- Keep the park clean, fresh-smelling and ready. Our Guests expect a spotless and well maintained park.
- Follow the lead of your Shift Leader and Managers, and follow our Guest experience plans every time so every family gets the same brilliant day
Front Desk
The first 60 seconds decide how a family feels about their whole visit. You own those 60 seconds.
- Be the first thing Guests see: a genuine smile and a proper welcome the moment they walk through the door
- Guide them through the check in process i.e. verifying names, Risk Acknowledgements, age and jump times and using our POS software. This has to be 100% right every time, and we'll train you until it's second nature
- Deliver safety briefings
- Check in birthday parties and large groups and get them off to a flying start
- Answer the phones, take bookings and payments, and know your stuff so you can actually help
- Work towards KPI targets and tell guests about our offers and memberships
- Keep socks, wristbands, merch and promo stock topped up and counted
- Handle cash accurately
- Keep the entrance, desk area and toilets to the standard you'd want if it were your family visiting
Arena
This is where the fun is, and where you keep everyone safe enough while they have it. How you perform on park determines the quality of our guests' experience.
- Treat every Guest like they're your own guests. Speak with them, praise them, encourage them, laugh with them, high five them.
- Spot the Five Star moments: a first-timer conquering the air run, a kid landing their first flip, a nervous grandparent who needs a chat. Make them happen, don't wait for them. Hype up the kids to mums, dads and grandparents when they do something cool!
- Run games and attractions, getting the whole park involved
- Keep Guests safe by actively scanning the floor, reminding people of the park rules in a friendly way, checking wristband colours for session times, and keeping decking clear of food, drinks and spills. We want to actively work towards avoiding injuries.
- If someone takes a tumble, stay calm: use your radio, your first aid training and your teammates to look after them and keep them protected while you work out what's needed
- Disinfect and clean the arena every day so it's ready for the next wave
Party Host
It's a little kid's birthday. Their favourite day of the year. It’s something they've talked about for weeks. And now you have the honour of making it the best one yet, and to let the parents put their feet up for once and enjoy a stress-free day.
- Host parties and large group events
- Make the birthday kid feel like the star of the show
- Look after the party organiser from the moment they walk in until the moment they leave, so they never have to chase anything.
- Have the party room/ area clean, set and ready before they arrive
- Keep the kids buzzing and the party running to plan
- Play games with the party and be the beacon of fun and smiles
- Deliver party food and coordinate with cafe
