The Port Huron Prowlers are a professional hockey organization dedicated to creating an exceptional game-day and retail experience for our fans. Our Team Store is an energetic, fast-paced environment where guests come to find the latest team gear and memorabilia. We’re looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our merchandise team for the upcoming season.

Position Summary

The Team Store Associate plays a key role in delivering an outstanding fan experience. This position is responsible for greeting customers, providing product knowledge, assisting with merchandise sales, maintaining a clean and organized retail space, and other team store tasks as needed. Ideal candidates are friendly, dependable, and excited to contribute to the overall game-day atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and welcoming manner
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for purchases, returns, and exchanges
• Maintain store appearance, restock shelves, and ensure merchandise displays are orderly and appealing
• Learn product details to confidently answer questions and make recommendations
• Assist with inventory counts, tagging, and receiving shipments as needed
• Uphold team brand standards and ensure exceptional fan service at all times
• Support store operations during games, events, and special promotions
• Follow all cash-handling, security, and operational procedures

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during games and high-traffic events
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to ~30 lbs
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and all home game nights
