Team Supervisor

We’re hiring a friendly, dependable Team Supervisor for our Chaiiwala of London location in Sullivan, Surrey. You’ll lead the team during shifts, help prepare drinks and food, and ensure customers receive quick, welcoming service.

What you’ll do

• Supervise daily shift operations and assign tasks to team members
• Assist with staff scheduling, coordinate shift coverage, and communicate schedule changes
• Support and train staff on customer service, food preparation, and café procedures
• Greet customers, take orders, and handle payments
• Prepare chai, other beverages, and menu items according to our standards
• Monitor food and drink quality, presentation, and service times
• Handle customer questions and concerns professionally
• Keep the counter, dining area, and workstations clean and stocked
• Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management
• Assist with opening, closing, and cash-handling procedures
• Ensure the team follows food safety and hygiene procedures
• Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support café operations as the business grows

What we’re looking for

• A positive attitude and strong leadership and customer service skills
• Reliability, good communication, and the ability to stay organized during busy periods
• Confidence guiding team members and taking initiative
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to help with different tasks and adapt to changing operational needs
• Previous café, restaurant, or food service experience
• Supervisory, staff scheduling, or shift leadership experience is an asset; training on our menu and procedures is provided
