About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tearista to join the team at Rich Tea in Lawas, Sarawak. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our beverage service, crafting exceptional tea experiences for our customers. As a Tearista, you will combine artistry, technical expertise, and customer service excellence to deliver outstanding beverages and memorable interactions. This role is essential to maintaining Rich Tea's reputation for quality and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality tea beverages with precision, following established recipes and techniques

• Operate tea brewing equipment and maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the service area

• Take customer orders efficiently and provide personalised recommendations based on individual preferences

• Maintain an organised and clean workspace, including regular restocking of tea supplies and equipment

• Handle cash and card transactions accurately whilst providing exceptional customer service

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak times

• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty

• Stay updated on new tea products, seasonal offerings, and industry trends to enhance the customer experience

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a beverage service, café, or hospitality environment, preferably in a specialty tea or coffee setting

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and create positive interactions

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during busy service periods

• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude towards work

• Flexibility with working hours, including potential weekend and public holidays
