Tech BA - Banking

We are seeking an experienced Technology Business Analyst to join the risk technology team of a leading investment bank. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving requirements, data analysis, solution design, and delivery across strategic initiatives. While prior Investment Banking domain experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Candidates with strong Business Analysis, data analysis, and stakeholder management skills from any complex enterprise environment are encouraged to apply.

• Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to understand and document business requirements.
• Elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create and maintain high-quality project documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Flows, Use Cases, and Data Mapping documents.
• Perform detailed data analysis to support requirement definition, root cause analysis, solution design, and testing activities.
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets, validate business rules, investigate issues, and support data reconciliation activities.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA teams, and project managers throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Support Agile delivery teams by managing backlogs, refining user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
• Assist with UAT planning, test scenario creation, defect triage, and business validation.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts across systems and processes.
• Support change management and implementation activities for technology solutions.

Work Experience:

• 6-10 years of Business Analysis experience within enterprise technology environments.
• Strong expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience writing complex queries
• Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, data flows, and relational database concepts.
• Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and data mapping documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
