About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Java Developer with strong expertise in building scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about hands-on engineering, modern backend architectures, distributed systems, and solving complex technical challenges.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coding, contributing to architectural discussions, and has the ambition to grow into a Solution Architect role over time.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance scalable microservices-based architectures.
Develop event-driven and asynchronous systems using Kafka.
Work closely with cloud-native deployments and AWS services.
Design robust APIs and backend integrations for enterprise-grade applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps engineers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders.
Participate in system design discussions, technical planning, and solution reviews.
Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and deployment automation.
Take ownership of technical delivery while remaining deeply hands-on.

Required Skills & Experience
6–8 years of strong backend development experience using Java.
Excellent experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
Good experience working with AWS cloud services.
Strong understanding of containerisation using Docker.
Experience with Kubernetes orchestration and deployment.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and scalable application design.
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
Ability to work independently in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Preferred Experience
Exposure (not mandatory) to large-scale enterprise or financial services environments.
Experience with event-driven architecture patterns.
Exposure to observability and monitoring tools.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
