About The Luxury Pergola

We design and manufacture custom-engineered aluminum louvered pergolas in Noblesville, Indiana, and sell them nationwide, direct to homeowners and through dealers. Our software is the business: a quoting engine that engineers every structure to the wind and snow loads at the customer's address and produces permit-ready drawings in minutes, a configurator with true-scale AR, an online kit store, dealer and installer portals, and the tools our sales team runs on. We built all of it ourselves, and we build fast with AI-assisted development.

The role

You are the final technical check on everything we ship. You own the platform end to end: website, quoting engine, dealer and installer portals, sales tools, internal tools. You manage our full-stack developer. In 2027 you ship the dealer engine and the website rebuild while making sure no system depends on one person, including you. Most of your week is code.

What you'll build in 2027

• Per-channel testing infrastructure so every site change ships as a measured experiment
• Address-based engineering constraints in the configurator
• Trade login with full engineering and permit package; storefront changes for the retail buyer
• Dealer engine: lead routing, installer certification and audit records, scorecards, pricing compliance
• Project gallery and brand site with our creative team
• Documentation and cross-training that gets every critical system to two people who can ship on it

What you'll own

• Architecture, code review, and release for all products and internal tools
• Reliability of the quoting engine, which the company's revenue runs through
• Integrations: Shopify, NetSuite, Zoho CRM, Klaviyo, Stripe, and building-code hazard data
• Security, access, backups, and customer data handling
• Build-versus-buy decisions and oversight of contractors
• Management and growth of the full-stack developer; hiring when the queue justifies it

Who you are

• 6+ years shipping full-stack web software, at least 2 as the person other people's code went through before release
• You have run a revenue-critical system: on call, the incident, the fix, the postmortem
• You use AI coding tools every day and hold their output to the same standard as your own: reviewed, tested, documented
• You have integrated with an ERP, a CRM, and an e-commerce platform, and you know where each one lies to you
• You write documentation people use; you would rather leave a runbook than be indispensable
• Pragmatic about stack, biased to shipping, comfortable being the last check

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
