Tech Lead- Java and Python

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Tech Lead with strong expertise in full-stack architecture, system design, and technical delivery to lead high-impact engineering teams building complex, workflow-driven products. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is fluent in a polyglot stack (Java, Python, Camunda, Angular, and n8n), applies AI-driven development practices across the SDLC, and can pragmatically embed Generative AI capabilities where they add real product value. Experience in the insurance domain is a strong plus and preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and technical design of features and services across a polyglot platform spanning Java, Python, Camunda, Angular, and n8n.
• Own and drive end-to-end technical delivery of complex product features, from requirements and design through build, release, and production support.
• Champion AI-driven SDLC practices, including AI-assisted coding, code review, test generation, documentation, and debugging, and define team standards for using them responsibly.
• Identify and design practical GenAI integrations (e.g., document summarization, data extraction, intelligent routing, agentic automation) and embed them into product workflows and APIs.
• Design process orchestration and automation flows using Camunda (BPMN/DMN) and n8n, and integrate them with backend services and UI layers.
• Stay hands-on: contribute production-quality code, lead design and code reviews, and unblock the team on complex technical problems.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, QA, and business teams to break down ambiguous problems into well-scoped, deliverable increments.
• Mentor and grow engineers, setting the bar for engineering quality, ownership, and delivery discipline.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for stakeholders and clients, supporting solution discussions and managing expectations on scope, timelines, and risks.
• Evaluate and select the right tools, frameworks, and GenAI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, LangChain) based on fit, cost, and maintainability.
• Ensure data privacy, compliance, security, and scalability standards are upheld in every solution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years in software development/architecture with a strong track record in system design and enterprise product delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a full-stack capacity in a polyglot architecture, with hands-on experience across Java (Spring Boot or similar), Python, Angular, Camunda, and n8n.
• Proven experience owning features end-to-end in a complex product, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
• Proficiency with AI-driven SDLC tooling and practices (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar), with a clear view on where AI accelerates delivery and where human oversight is essential.
• Working knowledge of GenAI integration: consuming LLM APIs, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) basics, and designing AI features with sensible guardrails.
• Strong understanding of REST/event-driven API design, microservices, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) with integration best practices.
• Experience delivering projects in Agile teams, including estimation, sprint planning, and managing delivery risks.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and engineering playbooks.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance domain experience (strongly preferred): familiarity with workflows such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, or financial operations, and exposure to GenAI use cases in insurance (e.g., submission intake, risk summarization, broker email parsing).
• Experience designing BPMN/DMN-based workflows in Camunda (7 or 8) and automating cross-system integrations with n8n.
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflow patterns.
• Exposure to CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tooling.
• Prior experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and mentoring senior engineers.
