Key Responsibilities

Technician line (OFC) manages smooth operations of NUST Fiber Optic cable network setup at Data Centre & Schools / Institute end. Ensure timely repair / maintenance of all Fiber Optic setup covering ODF , Patch cards of Single mode & Multi mode Fiber Optic cable.

Monitoring , Fault tracing , Repair / Maintenance of NUST single & multi mode fiber Optic Cable setup covering ODFs , Patch cards

Survey for new deployment , route clearance , splicing monitoring , tagging ODF and supervising installation of marker posts, marking tape, manholes, trenching/backfilling

Ensuring safety of NUST Fiber Optic cable infrastructure, Monitoring & Timely coordination with relevant sections

Maintain record of optical fiber components details and up-to-date layout map of fiber Optic cable Network.

Any other task assigned by Senior Manager Data Centre

Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

• 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.

• NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.

• In process of pursuing a required degree.

• Medically unfit.
