Tech Operator

Peace Church is looking for a dependable, positive, and eager-to-learn person to operate sound for worship rehearsals and services. You will also receive training in slides/ProPresenter and lighting.

No previous technical experience is required—we will provide training. Experience is preferred, but reliability, follow-through, and a willingness to learn matter most to us. This could be a great fit for a college student or someone seeking meaningful part-time work. Church membership is not required.

You will begin by learning our equipment and operating sound, with the expectation of gradually developing troubleshooting skills and helping oversee a small volunteer tech team.

Responsibilities

• Operate sound during worship rehearsals and services.
• Learn to operate slides/ProPresenter and lighting.
• Work with the Director of Worship & the Arts to prepare for and support services.
• Build familiarity with equipment and develop the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Over time, help train, support, and oversee a small team of volunteers.
• Provide technical support for Christmas, Easter, and occasional special events.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and consistent in following through on commitments.
• Available for the regular weekly schedule listed below.
• Positive, collaborative, and receptive to feedback.
• Quick and eager to learn, with a willingness to ask questions and practice new skills.
• Attentive to detail and able to stay engaged throughout rehearsals and services.
• Previous experience with live sound, ProPresenter, or lighting is helpful but not required.

Work Schedule

This is an on-site position with the following regular schedule:

• Thursday: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
• Saturday: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
• Sunday: 7:00 am - 12:00 pm

Availability for all three weekly shifts is required. We understand that occasional scheduling conflicts arise; time off may be requested in advance, and we will work with you to accommodate those needs whenever possible.

Additional hours may be needed for Christmas, Easter, and special events. Hours may be reduced during the summer.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.0 – 12.0 per week
