Technology Transactions Associate | Silicon Valley or San Francisco

An elite global law firm is seeking a Technology Transactions Associate (Class Years 2018-2021) to join its highly regarded practice in Silicon Valley or San Francisco .

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, AI, data, intellectual property, and corporate transactions , advising innovative companies, investors, and industry leaders on complex commercial and strategic matters. Associates will work with a globally integrated team known for its deep understanding of emerging technologies and its ability to support clients through every stage of the business lifecycle.

The practice advises on cutting-edge issues involving artificial intelligence, software and hardware technologies, data licensing, intellectual property commercialization, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, outsourcing arrangements, and technology-driven transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate technology-focused commercial agreements, including licensing, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures
• Support M&A, financing, and other corporate transactions involving significant technology and IP assets
• Conduct technology and IP due diligence and advise on post-closing integration matters
• Counsel clients on emerging issues related to AI, data governance, privacy, and intellectual property
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting technology companies and provide practical business-focused guidance

Qualifications:

• J.D. from a top law school
• Active California Bar membership and good standing
• Prior experience in technology transactions, whether at a law firm or in-house
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
