Role Description The Technical Bakery Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for providing technical expertise and support to bakery industry clients using Suntaq’s enzyme solutions. On a day-to-day basis, this role analyzes bakery formulations and processes, recommends appropriate enzyme applications, and collaborates with sales teams to develop tailored solutions that improve product quality, shelf life, and production efficiency. The specialist prepares and delivers technical documentation, training materials, and product demonstrations for internal teams and customers. The role also includes troubleshooting customer processes, collecting feedback from the field, and working closely with R&D and product management to refine existing solutions and support new product development. Regular communication with cross-functional teams and clients in different regions is essential to ensure consistent technical service and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of bakery processes, ingredients, and formulation, including experience with enzyme applications in baked goods.
• Experience in product testing, process optimization, and troubleshooting in industrial or commercial bakery environments.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation, application guidelines, and training materials for diverse audiences.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to collaborate with sales, R&D, and regulatory teams.
• Comfort working remotely, managing priorities independently, and coordinating activities across different regions and time zones.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Strong experience in enzyme technology, ingredients, or bakery technical service is highly beneficial.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and English, with the ability to read technical documentation and communicate with international teams.
• Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to food ingredients and industrial biotechnology.
