Technical Accounting & SEC Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client seeking a Technical Accounting & SEC Manager in Braintree, MA.

Summary: We are partnering with a large, publicly traded organization seeking a Technical Accounting & SEC Manager to join its corporate accounting team. This is a highly visible opportunity with a growing organization that offers strong career progression and exposure across technical accounting, SEC reporting, acquisitions, and other key corporate initiatives. This position is located south of Boston and will report into senior leadership within the technical accounting organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting for specialized and complex accounting areas
• Research technical accounting matters and document conclusions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K
• Assist with accounting for acquisitions, business combinations, and other corporate transactions
• Support the implementation of new accounting and reporting standards
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside advisors on accounting and reporting matters
• Assist with financial reporting for international operations
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and other finance-related initiatives
• Support special projects across the broader finance and accounting organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
• 4+ years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Public company and/or technical accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with large ERP/reporting platforms such as Oracle and Workiva is a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
