Technical Accounting Manager

Join a leading Technical Accounting & External Reporting team as a Technical Accounting Manager . This role combines technical IFRS expertise with financial reporting responsibilities, supporting complex accounting matters, external reporting, group consolidation, SOX compliance, and statutory accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical accounting papers and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions and business initiatives.
• Support implementation of new IFRS standards and maintain accounting policies.
• Produce disclosures for half-year and annual reporting requirements.
• Operate and document key SOX controls.
• Support month-end group consolidation, including journals, eliminations, and reporting reviews.
• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and head office reporting.
• Build relationships across finance teams and support financial reporting initiatives.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Approximately 2+ years’ post-qualification experience.
• Experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and research skills.
• Listed company experience is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and results-focused approach.

Package

• Salary up to £80,000 depending on experience.
