- Complex Transaction Analysis — Lead the research and evaluation of complex transactions, including debt/equity transactions, consolidation, lease accounting, revenue recognition, and other topics
- Technical Documentation & Leadership Communication — Prepare clear, comprehensive technical accounting memoranda documenting the Company’s conclusions and compliance under US GAAP, and present the related accounting considerations to leadership
- SEC Financial Statements & Footnotes — Prepare and review aspects of the Company’s quarterly financial statements and footnotes in compliance with SEC reporting requirements
- MD&A Authorship — Author the Management’s Discussion and Analysis section to ensure clear, accurate narratives of financial results and trends
- Global Accounting Policy — Formulate global accounting policies and assist with the implementation of those policies across the organization
- New Standards Adoption — Monitor, analyze, and interpret new accounting pronouncements from the FASB, SEC, and other regulatory bodies to assess their impact on financial reporting, and drive the planning and implementation of new standards
- External Audit Partnership — Coordinate and engage with external auditors on the review of technical accounting positions, consolidated financial statements, and new accounting standards
- Internal Control Environment — Support the maintenance of a strong internal control environment (SOX compliance) over technical accounting and financial reporting processes
