Are you the organised one who loves a tidy system? QC Engineering is looking for a Technical Administrator to keep the systems & paper work behind our workshop in order, so our production engineers and fabricators can get on with manufacturing.

About us

QC Engineering is a Napier-based sheet metal contract manufacturer. We have an exciting 12 months ahead with new machinery arriving and demand growing.

About the role

You'll be the link between the office, the workshop, our customers and suppliers. No two days are the same. You'll:

• Answer the phone and look after our client’s day-to-day

• Enter orders and set up and track jobs from order through to dispatch

• Purchase materials, services, manage and improve our Kanban system, raise POs and manage suppliers.

• Write and control technical documents, procedures and drawings

• Maintain our ISO 9001 quality system and coordinate audits

• Run the induction and onboarding process for new team members

• Explore how AI tools can streamline business operations

About you

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

• Technical writing and document control experience

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001

• Purchasing and order entry experience

• Strong Microsoft Office skills

• Confident, friendly phone manner and good with clients

• Detail-focused, organised and calm under pressure

• Experience with onboarding new staff, internal auditing or fabrication documentation will set you apart.
