Technical Analyst

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Technical Analyst for our client, a utility risk management consulting firm. This is a full-time position, remote within the United States with domestic and international travel expectations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Technical Analyst to support complex Field Service Management (FSM) platform implementations within the utilities and energy industries. This individual will play a key role in technical design, system configuration, integrations, testing, and deployment of enterprise FSM solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support end-to-end implementations of Field Service Management (FSM) and Mobile Workforce Management platforms for enterprise utilities clients.
• Perform hands-on system configuration, technical design, integration mapping, and implementation activities.
• Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical specifications, system configurations, and solution designs.
• Support integrations between FSM platforms and enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, GIS, Outage Management Systems (OMS), and other operational technologies.
• Work with APIs, middleware, SQL, relational databases, and data migration processes to support system connectivity and functionality.
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, validate system functionality, and support deployment, go-live, and post-implementation activities.
• Collaborate with Technical Project Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration specifications, integration requirements, and testing artifacts.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 6-10 years of experience in technical analysis, systems implementation, or a comparable enterprise technology delivery role.
• Direct, hands-on implementation experience with Field Service Management (FSM) or Mobile Workforce Management platforms.
• Experience with one or more FSM platforms, such as Salesforce Field Service, Oracle Field Service, SAP Field Service Management, ServiceMax, IFS, or ClickSoftware.
• Utilities, energy, or telecommunications industry experience, or direct experience working for an FSM technology vendor.
• Strong experience with technical design, system configuration, enterprise integrations, and implementation delivery.
• Experience integrating FSM solutions with ERP, CRM, GIS, OMS, or similar enterprise systems.
• Working knowledge of APIs, middleware, SQL, relational databases, data mapping, and ETL processes.
• Experience supporting the full software implementation lifecycle, including requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery methodologies.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This direct hire position offers a salary range of $125,000-150,000, commensurate with experience. They offer a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with additional perks.
