Aboutthe Role

Join our Core Engineering R&D team as a Technical Architect to own anddrive the architecture of Subex's flagship products. You'll lead technicaldesign decisions, set architectural direction, and work closely with productmanagement, engineering leadership, and cross-functional teams to build robust,scalable, and secure enterprise solutions.

KeyResponsibilities

• Own the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance, secure Java-based enterprise applications
• Translate business and product requirements into end-to-end technical architecture and solution designs
• Define, drive, and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architectural best practices across engineering teams
• Lead design and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, security, and maintainability
• Evaluate and select frameworks, tools, and technologies aligned to product and platform strategy
• Drive architectural alignment with DevOps and QA for seamless CI/CD, deployment, and testing
• Lead performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex production issues
• Mentor and guide senior developers and architects on architectural principles and best practices
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, QA, DevOps, Support) to ensure architectural consistency across the product suite
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive their adoption where relevant to Subex's platforms

RequiredSkills & Experience

• 1014 years of overall software engineering experience, with deep expertise in Core Java / J2EE
• Proven track record architecting and delivering enterprise-grade, distributed, microservices-based applications at scale
• Strong expertise in Spring/Spring Boot, REST API design, and integration patterns
• Hands-on experience with relational/NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Strong working knowledge of Kafka/RabbitMQ and caching solutions (Redis)
• Proven experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Deep understanding of design patterns, data structures, and system design principles
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Maven/Gradle
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical architectural trade-offs
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven experience mentoring engineers and driving technical alignment across teams

Education

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relatedfield
