Job Description & Summary

The Guidewire Technical Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing cutting-edge insurance solutions across Guidewire ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture for Guidewire implementations across PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC).
• Define technical architecture, solution roadmaps, and design strategies for Guidewire implementations, including on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployments.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions within Guidewire and integrated enterprise systems.
• Develop architectural blueprints, technical roadmaps, and technology strategies aligned with long-term business goals.
• Evaluate and recommend adoption of new Guidewire features, cloud capabilities, AI/ML integrations, microservices, and cloud-native technologies.
• Provide architectural leadership for large-scale Guidewire implementations, upgrades, and cloud migration programs.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders, project teams, and senior leadership.
• Define and govern non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Lead technical solutioning and translate business requirements into robust Guidewire solutions.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance to developers, senior developers, and integration specialists.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, quality benchmarks, performance requirements, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA teams, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Drive sprint planning, effort estimation, backlog prioritization, and resource utilization.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, deployment procedures, and architecture documents.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Guidewire implementations and upgrades within the insurance domain.

• Strong expertise in:

• Guidewire ClaimCenter

• Guidewire PolicyCenter

• Guidewire BillingCenter

• Extensive experience with Guidewire Cloud platforms and Edge APIs.

• Strong proficiency in Gosu and Java programming languages.

• Experience in Guidewire Configuration and Integration.

• Expertise in web services and system integration technologies, including:

• REST APIs

• SOAP Web Services

• Data Modeling

• Microservices Architecture

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
