Title: Technical Waste Assessor

Location: Merseyside

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Per annum dependant on experience

Term: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours a week Monday - Friday

They’re now looking for a Technical Assessor to apply chemistry knowledge in a practical waste setting, making technical decisions that keep waste managed safely, efficiently and compliantly.

Ideal for an experienced Site Chemist wanting an office-based technical role. Recent Chemistry graduates will also be considered if they want to build a career in commercial / compliance rather than the lab.

Role / Description

• Assess technical and chemical waste enquiries from customers and sales teams.
• Identify suitable disposal routes for packaged and bulk waste.
• Produce accurate quotations in line with legislation, permits and commercial requirements.
• Coordinate laboratory testing where further waste analysis is required.
• Provide technical advice to customers and internal teams on waste acceptance and disposal.
• Manage non-conformances and support waste acceptance activities within quality and safety standards.
• Build strong working relationships with third-party treatment and disposal partners.

Requirements

• HND/HNC or BSC in Chemistry or course with significant chemistry content.
• Previous experience in a Site Chemist role, with knowledge of chemical waste analysis and waste management processes, is preferred
• Must have full right to work in the UK there is no sponsorship available for this role.
