Technical Assistant

About the role

This role involves assisting the Supervisor/Executive in managing and monitoring daily activities at the Quality Gate, overseeing inspection and quality checking processes, and ensuring product quality standards are maintained throughout production.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor/Executive in managing and monitoring daily activities at the Quality Gate
• Monitor operators to ensure inspection and quality checking are carried out according to work instructions and quality standards
• Coordinate daily manpower and work arrangements to ensure smooth operation at the Quality Gate
• Monitor product quality and identify any defects or quality issues during production
• Follow up on rejected, defective, or non-conforming products and ensure proper segregation and disposition
• Ensure inspection results and quality records are properly maintained
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports and production-related reports
• Monitor quality performance and highlight any issues or abnormalities to the Supervisor/Executive
• Assist in investigating quality problems and implementing corrective actions
• Communicate and coordinate with Production, Quality, and other related departments on quality issues

About you

• Certificate/Diploma in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, or related field
• Preferably 1–2 years of working experience in automotive or manufacturing industry
• Experience in quality inspection, production, or line supervision will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of basic quality control and inspection processes
• Able to use basic measuring tools and understand engineering drawings
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Able to prepare reports, update records, and handle basic data in Excel
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to supervise and coordinate operators effectively
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
