TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Assistant to assist in equipment handling, uncrating, hauling, basic setup, and installation activities within the manufacturing, electronics, and semiconductor industries.

The role involves supporting engineers and technical teams in equipment movement, shipment coordination, and on-site installation at customer facilities. The ideal candidate is hardworking, responsible, safety-conscious, and willing to learn technical procedures. Fresh graduates and applicants without prior experience are welcome to apply, as training and guidance will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Perform uncrating, unpacking, hauling, and proper handling of machinery, equipment, and materials
• Assist in the basic setup, assembly, and installation of equipment at customer sites
• Monitor and assist with the arrival, unloading, and inspection of equipment shipments
• Support engineers and technical personnel in equipment installation, relocation, and other on-site activities
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment under proper supervision and guidance
• Ensure proper handling, positioning, and securing of equipment to prevent damage
• Follow technical instructions, company procedures, and workplace safety protocols
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety within the assigned work area
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of assigned tasks
• Perform other related technical and operational duties as assigned by the supervisor

About you

• Open to Engineering undergraduates, vocational graduates, or applicants with relevant technical backgrounds
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Experience in manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor operations, equipment handling, or installation is an advantage but not required
• Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and equipment handling is preferred
• Physically capable of performing equipment handling and manual tasks, with appropriate safety measures and lifting assistance
• Willing to undergo training and follow technical instructions
• Willing to work on-site at customer facilities and travel when required
• Responsible, hardworking, safety-conscious, and capable of working as part of a team
