TECHNICAL ASSISTANT - MANUFACTURING

Job Summary

We are looking for a technically skilled and proactive Technical Assistant to support our manufacturing operations, production team, and maintenance activities. The candidate will assist in troubleshooting machinery issues, monitoring equipment performance, coordinating preventive maintenance, and ensuring smooth and efficient factory operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG, chemical, liquid products, or similar industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to production and factory operations.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related issues.
• Monitor the performance of production machinery, pumps, motors, filling machines, labelling machines, compressors, and other factory equipment.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Assist in machine installation, adjustment, calibration, and commissioning activities where required.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report faults, abnormalities, and potential breakdowns.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment checklists, breakdown reports, and service schedules.
• Ensure proper handling and use of tools, spare parts, and technical equipment.
• Support production line setup, machine changeovers, and equipment adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
• Coordinate with external service providers and suppliers for repairs and technical support when required.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reduce production interruptions.
• Perform other technical duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

• Equipment Reliability: Ensure production equipment operates efficiently with minimum breakdowns.
• Maintenance Support: Complete assigned preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on time.
• Breakdown Response: Respond promptly to equipment issues and support timely resolution.
• Production Support: Minimize production interruptions by providing effective technical assistance.
• Equipment Inspection: Conduct routine inspections and report technical abnormalities promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, breakdown records, and equipment checklists.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow factory safety procedures and ensure safe working practices during technical activities.
• Spare Parts Management: Support proper tracking, storage, and availability of essential spare parts.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest practical improvements to enhance machine performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Assistant, Maintenance Assistant, Maintenance Technician, or in a similar role.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is essential.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with production machinery, pumps, motors, compressors, and filling or packaging equipment is preferred.
• Ability to identify technical faults and assist with troubleshooting.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining reports and records.
• Knowledge of factory safety procedures and preventive maintenance practices.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
