Technical Assistant, Operations

About the role

This role involves assisting the Superintendent with requisition, invoice processing, and monitoring of spares deliveries. You will support day-to-day operations of ships, monitor and arrange lubes, fuel oil, and foam sample analysis, and manage the collection and submission of monthly documents and IMO DCS reports to relevant parties including Classification Society.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in requisition, invoice processing, monitoring of spares deliveries where required
• Assist Superintendent on the day-to-day operations of the ships where applicable
• Monitor and arrange the lubes, fuel oil, foam sample analysis and send the certificate/report to respective parties
• Collection of monthly documents and IMO DCS reports and submit to relevant parties including Classification Society
• Assist superintendent in scheduling and preparing weekly/monthly meeting reports and take meeting minutes
• Flag circulars downloading and disseminating to relevant parties
• Assists to disseminate maker's service letter and consolidate the info required as per audit requirement
• Assists superintendent for collecting data as required for budget preparation
• Assists superintendent and maintain incident data cost and impact
• Assists superintendent in preparing for any external audit & TMSA preparation

Job Requirements

• Possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma in Marine Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Marine Engineering or equivalent
• Meticulous, ability to multi task and a good team player
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Good Interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literate
