Technical Associate - R and D (SL)

We are looking for candidates interested in Technical Associate - R&D (SL) for Mahape Location.

Position description:

The core deliverables of these candidates will be :

1. Synthesize fluoro products by fluorination in shifts as per the plan.

2. Subsequent scale-up and tech-transfer to engineering team/projects/operations.

  

Primary Responsibilities:

• He will be responsible for conducting different experiments as per instructions from seniors.
• He has to record daily experimental data/observations/ tabulate the results in batch sheets.
• Has to note observations and draw conclusions from daily experiments, share reports and

Discuss with seniors to plan the path forward.

• Communicate with the analytical lab for daily analysis, analytical reports and record results in batch sheets.
• Responsible for perfluoro products synthesis and purification.
• Should have knowledge of recovery and recycling techniques to make the process robust.
• Has to execute housekeeping of working area and lab equipment.
• Should maintain calibration records of sensitive lab equipment like balance, pH meter etc.
• Should maintain lab equipment for better uninterrupted performance.
• He has to take proper care of lab equipment and operate it as per SOP.
• He has to handle/store /dispose all chemicals required for experimentation with proper care using PPEs and using information from MSDS maintaining required safety requirements.
• Focus on safety aspects of new chemicals being used in lab projects.
• Participation in internal and external audits

Validate the process and demonstrate to engineering team (for equipments mapping point of view)

Required Knowledge :

• He should have sound knowledge in handling of anhydrous HF.
• He should have worked on fluorination reactions / purifications.
• He should have hands on experience in equipment’s used for fluorination reaction / autoclave etc.
• He should be aware of perfluoro products/ intermediates.
• Minimum 1-2 years’ direct exposer on fluorination reactions using AHF.
• He should have worked on process development /scale-up of fluoro product.
• Knowledge of treated effluent streams and its control limits.

Educational qualifications preferred

• Category: Master's Degree
• Field specialization: Chemistry
• Degree: Master of Science - M.Sc

**Experience:**Total 3-5 years of industrial work experience in process development from Agro, pharma and specialty chemical sector
