About the Opportunity

We are working with a leading consultancy supporting major infrastructure programmes across the UK and are looking to connect with experienced Technical Authors with a background in engineering, construction or infrastructure.

This opportunity is suited to professionals who enjoy working with technical information, preparing structured documentation and collaborating with commercial and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop and review technical and contractual documentation.
• Support the preparation of contract documents and associated project information.
• Coordinate documentation inputs from technical, commercial and project teams.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent and aligned with project requirements.
• Review complex technical information and present it in a clear, structured format.
• Support document quality, version control and review processes.
• Liaise with stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and incorporate feedback.
• Maintain documentation standards throughout project development and delivery.

About You

• Experience in technical authoring, contract documentation or a related role within infrastructure, engineering or construction.
• Strong technical writing, editing and document preparation skills.
• Ability to interpret technical and contractual information.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Rail, transportation or other major infrastructure experience is advantageous.
• Previous consultancy experience is desirable.
• Currently based in the UK and comfortable with hybrid working arrangements.
