Technical Business Advisor

As a Technical Business Advisor, you’ll be responsible for building standards-based technical roadmaps, documenting risks, identifying improvements, and scoping technical solutions that deliver measurable value. You’ll work closely with the Partner Success Manager supporting reviews and presenting technical findings to Partner contacts when appropriate, always with clarity and precision.

What You’ll Do

• Roadmap & Standards Alignment – Responsible for maintaining technical roadmap inputs, aligning partners to IT standards, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Budget - Collaborates with Partner Success Manager to prepare annual partner budgets. The Partner Success Manager is responsible for drafting the budget and presenting it to the partner with the support of the Technical Advisor.
• Proposals – Responsible for developing technical proposals exceeding $2,500 or requiring technical expertise. Collaborates with Partner Success Managers to deliver proposals when necessary.
• Risk Documentation & Remediation – Responsible for actively documenting technical risks and recommending clear, actionable remediation plans.
• Partner Review – Responsible for preparation of technical information within partner reviews. Collaborate with Partner Success Managers during reviews, presenting technical insights and findings as needed.
• Technical Partnership – Build trusted relationships with partner IT contacts, providing technical guidance without being the primary relationship owner.
• Ongoing Technical Training – Responsible for development and implementation of technical training / orientation for both existing and new partners.

What You Bring

• MSP Experience Required – Proven success in a technical advisor, via, TAM, or similar role within a Managed Services Provider.
• Strong Technical Acumen – Expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and managed services with the ability to translate technology into business impact.
• Clear Communication Skills – Ability to explain technical findings simply and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strategic Mindset – Skilled at aligning technology decisions to business priorities, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborative Spirit – A team player who thrives in close partnership with Leaders, peers, and technical teams.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
