Technical Business Analyst

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert for a banking platform in Zurich, Switzerland in a hybrid working mode.

In this role, you will combine deep functional knowledge of platform architecture with analytical thinking and operational insight. You will investigate how platform components interact, translate platform data into actionable insights and support platform operations and enhancement initiatives. Working in an agile environment with AI-enabled capabilities, you will help drive informed decision-making and the successful execution of the platform strategy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep functional knowledge of the banking platform, including API product specifications, consent management, transaction signing, authentication and supporting platform capabilities
• Analyse data across platform components, API usage, operational metrics and ecosystem interactions to deliver actionable insights and meaningful reporting
• Investigate platform behaviour, troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes and explain dependencies across platform components
• Create and maintain documentation, guidance and reusable knowledge assets to improve platform understanding and supportability
• Provide domain expertise and impact assessments to support platform enhancements and operational excellence
• Recommend improvements to platform reliability, transparency and efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, support, product and business teams to clarify platform dependencies and support informed decisions

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience in software delivery, platform engineering, systems analysis, solution design or technology operations
• Experience working with enterprise platforms involving interconnected systems, teams, processes, controls and technology dependencies
• Ability to understand end-to-end service landscapes, functional architectures, business processes and system interactions
• Ability to assess impacts and dependencies across platform components
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to combine information from multiple sources, identify patterns and translate findings into recommendations, reporting and decision-support artefacts
• Experience with database design, SQL and scripting languages such as Python for data analysis and automation
• Experience using modern analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau or Microsoft Fabric to generate insights
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences and create effective documentation, guidance, reporting and reusable knowledge assets
• Practical experience with generative AI tools and LLMs
• Fluent English language knowledge and German language proficiency at B1 level or higher
