Technical Business Development

We are seeking a technically qualified leader to develop business across our laboratory testing, environmental consultancy and industrial waste management services. The role combines sound technical judgment with client engagement, solution development and commercial leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead business development strategy and account plans for laboratory testing, consultancy and waste management services.

Meet industrial and institutional clients, understand their technical and compliance needs, and develop suitable service solutions with operational teams.

Lead technical and commercial proposals, tenders, presentations and negotiations; review scope, deliverables, feasibility, pricing inputs and contract commitments before submission.

Maintain relationships with key accounts, pursue new sectors and partnerships, and coordinate renewals and cross-service opportunities.

Work with laboratory, consultancy and waste facility heads to confirm capability, capacity, timelines, permits and safe acceptance of work before making commitments.

Supervise the marketing and digital communications function; set priorities, approve technical claims and monitor leads, pipeline and conversion.

Provide management with a reliable sales forecast, account status and market intelligence.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a related technical discipline; postgraduate business qualification is an advantage.

At least 8 years of relevant experience in technical services, environmental consultancy, laboratory testing, industrial waste management or related B2B sectors, including substantial client-facing business development responsibility.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical proposals, complex client discussions and commercial negotiations; experience managing a team or key accounts preferred.

Working knowledge of environmental compliance and industrial clients in Pakistan; understanding of laboratory quality systems and waste handling requirements is an advantage.

Required Skills

Strong technical communication, proposal writing, commercial judgment and relationship management.

Ability to translate client requirements into practical scopes while knowing when to seek specialist approval.

Confident presentation, team leadership and CRM or pipeline management.
