Technical Buyer - Purchasing Specialist (Mechanical Engineer)

Technical Buyer is a specialist position who will play a crucial role in purchasing, procurement and inventory management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials, parts, and equipment required for the manufacturing process
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices, quality, and delivery terms
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring timely replenishment of stock
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to identify and source new materials and components
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to optimize purchasing decisions
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced members of the purchasing team

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
