Technical Construction Storekeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Construction Storekeeper with a strong background in the construction industry to manage and control Civil and MEP materials, tools, equipment, and inventory at project sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, documentation, and stock control of materials in accordance with project requirements and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming Civil and MEP materials against approved purchase orders, material delivery notes, and specifications.
• Ensure all materials are properly identified, labelled, recorded, and stored in designated locations.
• Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and stock balances.
• Control the issuance of materials to site teams based on approved material requests and issue vouchers.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Procurement and Project teams to avoid shortages or unnecessary excess inventory.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile actual quantities with system and manual records.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly material and inventory reports as required by management.
• Maintain proper documentation, including Material Requisitions, Delivery Notes, Material Issue Vouchers, Return Notes, and other relevant store records.
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials to prevent damage, deterioration, loss, or misuse.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Procurement Teams, Project Management, and Suppliers regarding material requirements and deliveries.
• Maintain proper segregation and identification of materials according to type, specification, project, and storage requirements.
• Monitor and report slow-moving, damaged, surplus, or obsolete materials to the concerned department.
• Ensure the store and surrounding storage areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Perform other storekeeping and inventory-related duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Storekeeper in the construction industry; UAE experience is preferred.
• Proven experience handling Civil and MEP construction materials.
• Good knowledge of material receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and inventory control procedures.
• Good understanding of construction materials, specifications, identification, and storage requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and store/inventory management software.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and prepare material and stock reports.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with site teams, procurement personnel, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, maintain accurate documentation, and manage multiple material requirements efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of responsibility.
• Candidates available to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE will be preferred.
