Technical Content Writer

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and skilled Technical Content Writer to join our team at Threatcop. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of language, storytelling skills, and the ability to transform complex cybersecurity concepts into simple, engaging, and impactful content. In this role, you will be responsible for developing creative content that simplifies cybersecurity concepts, raises awareness, and effectively communicates our brand's message across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation: Develop original, engaging, and informative cybersecurity awareness content, including infographics, video scripts, creative posters, gamified learning activities, newsletters, email campaigns, and other interactive awareness materials.
2. Storytelling & Technical Communication: Possess a strong understanding of technical cybersecurity concepts and the ability to translate complex information into simple, relatable, and engaging content for general audiences, while also developing technically accurate, in-depth content tailored to IT professionals and technical audiences.
3. Client-Focused Content Development: Understand client requirements, business objectives, industry-specific needs, and target audiences to create customized, engaging, and impactful cybersecurity awareness content that aligns with client expectations and brand guidelines.
4. LMS & E-Learning Content Development: Create engaging, interactive, and technically accurate cybersecurity training content for Learning Management Systems (LMS), including SCORM-based courses, learning modules, scenario-based activities, quizzes, assessments, and gamified learning experiences.
5. Content Research: Research emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, real-world incidents, and innovative learning approaches to develop technically accurate, relevant, and engaging cybersecurity awareness content for diverse audiences.
6. Content Editing & Proofreading: Review and refine content for grammar, clarity, originality, readability, accuracy, and consistency.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, product, sales, and customer success teams to understand client requirements, brainstorm creative ideas, and develop engaging, customized cybersecurity awareness content that aligns with project objectives and client expectations.
8. Creative Ideation: Develop fresh, innovative ideas for cybersecurity awareness creative content formats, interactive learning experiences, and gamified activities to make cybersecurity education more engaging and relatable for employees.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
2. 2+ years of experience in creative content writing, preferably in a B2B, SaaS, technology, or cybersecurity-based company.
3. Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, storytelling, and creative communication skills.
4. Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, terminology, emerging threats, and security best practices, with the ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Ability to write creative, engaging, and audience-specific content across multiple formats.
6. Ability to simplify complex technical subjects into engaging, relatable, and easy-to-understand content without compromising technical accuracy.
7. Strong command of English, grammar, vocabulary, and tone of voice.
8. Strong research skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
9. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple content projects simultaneously.
10. A creative mindset with the ability to conceptualize fresh ideas, interactive learning experiences, and innovative approaches to cybersecurity awareness.
11. A portfolio showcasing cybersecurity awareness content, creative writing, video scripts, documentation, training materials, infographics, or other relevant work is preferred.
